Rebecca Yarros is an American novelist whose journey from writing emotional contemporary romances to becoming one of the world’s most recognizable romantasy authors is a story of persistence, family, and imagination. Born in 1981, Yarros grew up in a military family, an upbringing that gave her an intimate understanding of service, sacrifice, and the emotional challenges faced by military families. She later attended Troy University, where she studied European history and English.

Yarros began writing seriously while her husband was deployed in Afghanistan.
